Welcome to the Pamlico County Arts Council website. The Pamlico Arts Council is an all volunteer, community based, non-profit organization dependent on funds from NC Arts grants, memberships and fundraisers. We advocate and promote the variety of arts in the county – visual, performing and literary and seek to encourage people to value and make art a part of their daily lives. The Arts Council also supports many arts educational programs in the schools; supports diverse arts activities and seeks to preserve the cultural heritage of the region; build community cohesiveness and advance ecomomic growth. It recognizes that Art can produce a more vital economy.
Pamlico County is surrounded by the natural beauty of our pine forests and the numerous inlets that feed into the Neuse River and the Pamlico Sound. Within our area, live many talented artists.
