“Ignite the Arts!”  has been the slogan to energize the renewal of commitment and the rebirth of passion for the Arts in Pamlico County.  A 20 feet tall, artistically designed dragon is constructed, then ignited during an evening filled with music, dragons, fire,

and so much fun for all.

Each year the dragon is designed by a Pamlico County student, who then becomes the face of the event.  The design is featured on event

t-shirts and posters, and the student is recognized and available for autographs at the event.
